Episode 226: The Smirk: We Review "Passions in Death"
Podcast in Death
This week AJ and Tara review “Missing in Death,” the novella that was originally part of the “The Lost” anthology. Both AJ and Tara, for whatever reason, liked this story a lot more this time around.
Since most of the novellas up to this point have had some sort of supernatural element, you expect that here, and it does seem like it’s headed that way, but in the end, it’s not at all supernatural.
There’s a lot of fun moments with Eve and Peabody, especially Peabody getting hit on and Eve being a sarcastic bitch about that. Which we both really enjoy.
There’s a bit of continuing HSO controversy in this one, but it’s resolved quickly. Also, there is a bit of a controversial ending.
