The Podcast

If you’re visiting this page, you’re likely here because you have either read the “In Death” series by J.D. Robb or are thinking about reading the series. Whether you have read these books dozens of times before, or just reading the first book, this podcast is for you.

Your podcast hosts, AJ, Jen and Tara are “In Death Fandom Veterans” who have read, discussed, and even wrote fan fiction for this series for many years! We wanted to create a podcast that would be for fans by fans. Our goal is to fuel the fandom, but also to create new fans along the way.

We will start with the very first book, “Naked in Death,” and we will read all of the books in order, one every month. If you are new to this series, read along with us and discover a new book series that you will love! If you are a veteran like AJ, Jen and Tara, read along with us and re-discover all of the things you already love about this series.

Since it can take some time to read the next “In Death” book, in between our book review episodes, we will have what we like to call our “Podvellas.” Shorter (maybe) episodes where we will deep dive into different aspect of the “In Death” series.

Our discussions will range from character studies to discussions about Eve Dallas’ futuristic New York, to “The Button,” to speculation on who, exactly, IS the candy thief!! PLUS: Every month we bring you our most popular series of episodes: “We Review the Reviews!” This started off as an episode that we thought would be fun to do after we read the book “Shadows in Death.” But that episode was so popular, we decided to make it a regular feature of our podcast! For each book that we read, we will do an entire episode where we look at some of the online reviews for that book and turn the tables on the reviewers: We Review their Reviews!

Also, our “Podvella” episodes have already featured a few very special guests including New York Times Best Selling Author Allison Brennan, Indi Authors Judy Kentrus and S.J. Tilly and our all-time favorite guest: the fabulous Susan Ericksen!  We also talk to our listeners and other fans of the series. We’ve had some fascinating discussions and there are more to come! You don’t want to miss these in between the books episodes!

It’s hard to believe, but we are nearly 3 years and 100+ episodes in! We’ve gathered an amazing group of listeners from around the world, and there’s always room for one more! Thanks for listening!
