There's So Much Murder and it's Awesome! We talk to Emily and Heidi of Romancing the Shelf About the First Three Books of the In Death Series!

In this episode of Podcast in Death, we welcome back our friends Emily and Heidi from Romancing the Shelf! We talk with Emily and Heidi about their experience reading the first three “In Death” books for the very first time!!
Those of you who are followers of our podcast may remember that on episode #74 from back in November of 2021, we spoke with Emily and Heidi after they read the Nora Roberts/JD Robb crossover book, “Remember When.”
On this episode, they tell us that while they are reading every Nora Roberts title in order of release and would have most likely read “Remember When” at some point, they didn’t really plan on reading any other JD Robb titles. BUT… after reading “Remember When” and coming onto our show, they both decided that they really needed to at least read the first three JD Robb titles. (Naked in Death, Glory in Death, Immortal in Death).
As we here at Podcast in Death expected, they LOVED them! Emily has even gotten her mom hooked on the series (we now really need to record an episode with Emily’s mom) and also recommended them to several members of her true crime book club!
We get Emily and Heidi’s overall impressions of the first three books, the differences between Nora Roberts and JD Robb, their impressions of Mavis and Peabody.
Then they announce that they have plans to read the next two books in the series (Rapture in Death and Ceremony in Death). This will happen once they meet their Patreon “Stretch Goal” so, if you listen to Romancing the Shelf, go to their Patreon page and become a patron so that they can start reading some more books in this series!

We’re back with another “We Review the Reviews”! In this episode, we’re a bit upset by people’s disrespect of Eve by calling her “Detective” rather than “Lieutenant.” We go off […]
